T

his episode nearly didn’t happen because we are both coughing and loosing our voices.

However, we pulled ourselves together and took the opportunity to vent some frustration we have with K-drama. (Because… Why not? We’re already grumpy. We might as well go with it.) So we spend the first minutes of the session talking about our joint number one pet peeve with K-drama: Noble idiocy.

And once we felt we’d gotten our yayas out on that subject we went on to talking about…

What we’ve been watching

These are the dramas we talk about in this episode:

PS. Some technical difficulties

We experienced some technical difficulties in the blog with this episode. That’s why you may have gotten duplicate announcements about the new episode. Sorry about that. If you got the info twice; the latter of the two has the correct URL and information.

Don’t really know if douchebag is a better substitute for dickhead or not. LOL I’ve really enjoyed all the podcast so far so thanks for continuing. Random weird thought: it’s kinda funny that a podcast site about kdrama addiction is hosted by two ladies from Stockholm.

      Haha!
      Thanks, happy to hear it!

Would it make more sense if we were American do you mean? Why?
K-drama doesn’t air on the big mainstream TV-channels in either country. (Arirang being on cable.)
K-drama is a global phenomena. There are fans in all corners of the world. And all you need to make a pod is a computer, mic and an internet connection when you upload the file. :)

Only because I associate Stockholm with the term Stockholm Syndrome which is a term used in America to describe a type of addiction to a person and this blog is about addiction to dramas so…I watch to many procedural and think weird that’s my excuse.

Oh, I see. I’ve never heard “Stockholm Syndrome” described as an “addiction” before. As I understand it, it’s when a kidnapped person or hostage gains sympathy for the kidnapper and eventually sides with them. So I’ve always thought of it as a form of brainwashing or “transference”. I don’t really see it as an addiction, but that’s an interesting way of looking at it.

Of course, I do see and hear the word Stockholm every day. If I were to listen to a podcast by people from, let’s say Greenwich, perhaps I would make some kind of connection to time? Since “Greenwich time” is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear that name. :)
