Hello Podcasters! I love your podcast (My to-watch list on MDL keeps getting longer and longer) but I have to point out one small thing – I think you mixed up the Korean Crown Prince Sado and the French Marquis de Sade. The latter is the origin of the term sadomasochism. A very understandable mistake as both gentlemen had a lot of – how should I put it? – issues.

      Haha, “issues” is right.
I read somewhere, a long time ago that de Sade was the western inspiration for the word and Sado was the eastern. But I, or the article, could be mistaken. I’m pretty sure it was online and we all know that everything you read there is true, right? 😉

I was wondering if you guys have watched my beautiful bride? It came out this past summer and I haven’t seen any mention of it.

No, I’m affraid I haven’t. I remember seeing some posts about it in social media at the time it aired. But it seemed to come and go without drawing too much attention to itself. Did you see it? Was it worth watching?

Keep in mind beautiful bride was the first k drama I’ve seen, I thought it was amazing. It’s a little slow to start and I thought the main guy character was little plain to start but then it really gets going after episode 4. It’s amazing, heart wrenching, suspenseful, dramatic, etc. The plot moves smoothly throughout the show. I’m so sad it didn’t get more attention because it really is the best series (including all genres) I’ve seen and I watch A LOT of TV.

Nice! Thanks for the tip. 🙂
Your first drama is always a bit special. It’s kind of like a bias. (If you become hooked and an addict… that is.)

I think you should give Oh My Venus a try. It’s not as “fat shaming” as you think. I am finding it very enjoyable. It’s a nice “adult” romance. It has good chemistry between the leads. I find they treat the overweight issue well and it’s more about healthy living. In fact, it’s also about not being so strict in life that you can’t enjoy it. The main female lead is not dumb or weak. I find her very relatable to an everyday woman just doing her best and they fall in love even with her less then perfect body phase. Give it a try!

I’ve seen that commercial that they did together. So I have no doubt that they have crazy chemistry together. I love them both as actors. 🙂
However, I’ve seen scenes from the beginning of the show which included poking fun of her as an overweight person. No amount of talk about a healthy lifestyle can wash that away. I’ll only get mad if I watch it. So I better not. 😉
